Inner Anchor

Homer, Milton, Pascal, Emily,
All lived the same strategy:
Governing the clangor
From the inner anchor,
Radiating harmony
Towards outer anarchy.

Forsaking inmost peace,
The shrewd in excursion roam;
Preferring godly ease,
The sage quietly sit home.
The kingdom of heaven
By experiencing is proven.
